People of a village in Bangkok have raised concerns over a mining company which is believed to be building a road through their community for haulage vehicles, according to the Bangkok Post.

Employees of the mining company S.C Mining Co have been seen along with officials of the State Railway of Thailand and they mayor of tambon Ban Pin Municipality were seen surveying the Ban Pin area earlier this month.

Fears have been raised over the potential environmental impacts as well as to villagers health and liv

It has also been reported that the company wants to build a road from wolfram mine near another village to transport ore through the Ban Pin community.

Residents have sent a letter opposing the plans to the mayor and S.C Mining Co, but have yet to receive any comment back from them.
